Ants Control
As the majority of ant species prefer sunny climates, our environment is perfect for ants to thrive. Ants are ubiquitous. Australia has just over 1,300 known species so far. Depending on the species, ants will build nests in walls and foundations, or in potted plants indoors, enclosed areas, and even within cavities of toilets and sinks. Ants will seldom attack solid structures. In this respect, they will not cause structural damage to buildings but will take advantage of existing deterioration. Ants travel in a wide range searching for food, following trails they have established and clustering around the source of food, becoming a nuisance in homes, organisations and businesses.

Ant Infestation Signs:
Live ants, ants pathways, ant nest. Small piles of earth around holes in soil and at the base of exterior walls indicate their origin.

Ants Treatment
If you have a larger problem that your usual DIY product cannot resolve, you can rely on our expert pest controllers to clear it up.
A thorough internal and external assessment is undertaken in an effort to uncover all areas of ant activity and nests. We include the roof space, subfloors, garden perimeters etc. We spray barrier treatment to all rooms, dusting roof voids and subfloor. Garden beds, fence walls, eaves and nature strip are also treated. In severe cases we treat wall voids and cavities. Our products are registered as safe, environmentally friendly and effectively eradicate ants. Most ants die instantaneously and continue to do so over the next few weeks.
Ant Prevention Tips
- Clean up food and drink spills immediately.
- Rinse out cans or bottles before putting them into the recycling bin.
- Keep food stored tightly and cover up any foodstuffs which could be a food source for ants.
- Pick up pets food at night and don’t feed them outdoors.
- Track down where they are coming in and seal off the entry point, such as cracks around doors and windows
- Clear up any sticky residues on worktops, because ants are attracted to sweet things.
Successful, long-term ant control requires the more than a surface spray. At Expest, we use the latest products available including repellent, non-repellent liquid insecticide as well as insecticidal dusts, baits and granules.
